Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Wilber Smith Rotary member Andi Darby and area high school juniors prepare to leave for the 2017 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp held at Camp Trevor Jones. RYLA is an international program that was created by Rotary International to encourage strong leadership in youth. Young people chosen for their leadership potential attend an all-expenses-paid camp to develop and enhance leadership skills through activities conducted in an atmosphere of trust and respect. This years attendees are Liberty Eylau High School students Ines Bauguerra, Miyona Erwin and Lea Hayes; Texas High School students Ben Goesl, Caleb LeGrand and Katherine Stoeckl; Arkansas High School students Felipe Jusino, Dawson O'Malley and Kayci Rasnick; Veritas Academy students Julie Hornok, Nate House and Isaac Munson; Pleasant Grove High School student Jordan Riddle; Hooks High School student Kenly Turner; New Boston High School student Carmine Smith Jr.; and Maud High School student Gage Jones.
