More than $12,000 raised for UAHT

The faculty and staff at the University of Arkansas at Hope-Texarkana have raised more than $12,000 for student scholarships, campus improvements and other student programs through the "Bridge Builders" program.

Through payroll deductions or one-time gifts, 83 percent of employees gave to the program, which funded four student scholarships this year.

"We are blessed at UAHT with a phenomenal collection of dedicated and talented team members," Chancellor

Chris Thomason said in a press release. "Our staff and faculty on both the Hope and Texarkana campuses are committed to our service mission and demonstrate that every day in their work with our students and our communities. But more than that, the fact that an overwhelming number of them donate a portion of their earnings back to the institution is direct evidence of their personal commitment and belief in the promise we offer to improve the collective future of our region."
