The Miller County budget committee will continue to trim down the 2017 budget with a meeting Tuesday in the county judge's office in the Miller County Courthouse, according to finance and budget chairman Ernest Pender.

The general budget has $7.8 million in requests and $6.5 million in revenues.

The committee will review potential budget cuts to balance the budget and then present the budget again to the Quorum Court in February.

Pender said the county is operating on the 2016 budget until the 2017 budget is approved.

The next budget and finance committee meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the county judge's office on the second floor of the Miller County Courthouse.
