Two Texarkana, Texas, police officers have been promoted.

Troy Troutman - Bras for a Cause was held Oct. 3, 2013, at Cornerstone Pub & Grill in North Little Rock. Bras designed by local celebrities were auctioned off to the highest bidder to benefit for the Young Survival Coalition, which is the premier global organization dedicated to the critical issues of young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Chief Dan Shiner recently promoted Sgt. Michael Jones to the rank of lieutenant and Officer Clay McClure to the rank of sergeant, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for the department.

Jones has been employed with TTPD since 2001. He has served in a number of departmental capacities, including patrol officer and supervisor, personnel and training, SWAT commander, problem oriented policing team and firearms range master. He is a 1995 graduate of Queen City High School and a Marine Corps veteran. Jones now serves as a shift commander in the operations division.

McClure is a 17- year veteran with TTPD. During that time, he has worked as a patrol officer, field training officer, and a narcotics investigator. He is a 1985 graduate of Liberty-Eylau High School and previously worked as a deputy with the Bowie County Sheriff's Office. McClure now serves as a shift supervisor in the operations division.
