A second suspect in the July 3 burglary of the Cotton Patch Liquor Store in Fulton, Ark., was arrested Wednesday in Carlisle, Ark.

Miller County Sheriff's Office was notified Thursday morning about the arrest of George Edward Adams III, 22, of Maumelle, Ark., according to information from MCSO Investigator Lt. Les Moody.

Adams is scheduled to be moved to Texarkana, Ark., on Friday.

The Carlisle Police Department spotted Adams and made the arrest.

Early in the morning on July 3, Miller County deputies went to Cotton Patch Liquor on 17446 U.S. Highway 67 because of a burglary. Deputies determined someone had forced entry into the store.

While reviewing video footage from the area, investigators noticed two people wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and shorts near the store about 4 a.m. A white Chevrolet pickup, also in the video footage, was found stuck in some mud near the store.

During the investigation, officers discovered the pickup was stolen June 30 from Little Rock.

Donald Shirey, 49, of Little Rock was found soon after the burglary near the Hempstead-Miller county line and arrested on charges of burglary of a commercial building and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
