Suspect still sought in liquor store burglary

Investigators with Miller County Sheriff's Office continue to search for a suspect involved in the July 3 burglary of Cotton Patch Liquor in Fulton, Ark.

A BOLO and warrant for commercial burglary has been issued for George Edward Adams III, 27, of Maumelle, Ark., according to information from the sheriff's office.

Adams has previous contacts in Hope, Ark.

Early in the morning on July 3, Miller County deputies went to Cotton Patch Liquor on 17446 U.S. Highway 67 because of a burglary. Deputies determined someone had forced entry into the store. While reviewing video footage from the area, two people were noticed wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and shorts around the store at about 4:00 a.m. A white Chevrolet pickup also in video footage was located near the store stuck in the mud.

During the investigation, it was determined the pickup was stolen from Little Rock on June 30th.

Donald Shirey, 49, of Little Rock was located near the Hempstead/Miller County line and arrested on charges of burglary of a commercial building and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
