Everett Baptist Church, Hooks, Texas, is having a 75-year celebration Wednesday through July 23.
The church, 4191 Farm-to-Market Road 1898, was founded July 19, 1942.
The congregation will mark the occasion with a series of revival services.
The guest speakers will include three former pastors, a neighboring minister, the executive director of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and a minister of music who served the church for many years.
Services Wednesday through Saturday will be at 7 p.m. Speakers include:
Wednesday-Othel La Ferney, a former pastor of Everett Baptist who now serves Faith Baptist Church of Gilmer;
Thursday-Kevin Schutte, a music minister who served the church for years, and his wife, Kim;
Friday-Jim Sherwin, a former pastor who now serves First Baptist Church of Celeste, Texas; and
Saturday-James Sparks, a former pastor who now serves First Baptist of DeKalb.
At 11 a.m. Sunday, the celebration will culminate with Jim Richards, executive director of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention.
