Boy, 1, hospitalized after being struck by pickup on Texas side

A 1-year old boy was injured Monday afternoon when he was struck by a pickup in the 3600 block of Hazel Street.
The accident happened just before 4 p.m., according to police.
The child was taken to Wadley Hospital to be examined and then transferred to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department.
Vaughn said no one witnessed the accident and it was unclear how the child ended up hit by the truck.
He said a family member was driving the truck and the incident is believed to have been an accident.
