District to honor minister's 60 years

The 60-year ministry of Neotis Roberson will be celebrated and honored at 4 p.m. Friday at Southwest Center, 3222 W. Seventh St.
Roberson, 90, has pastored three Texas churches during his tenure: Jones Hill in Douglassville; Wallace Memorial in Texarkana; and Roberson Temple in Omaha.
He recently retired from the Texarkana church after leading a construction project, the culmination of 46 years of service.
Roberson serves as the district superintendent of Texarkana District under the leadership of Bishop Reginal L. Williams Sr., Texas Metropolitan Ecclesiastes Jurisdiction, Dallas. Williams will be the guest speaker at Friday's event.
Roberson will continue his pastoral assignments in Douglassville and Omaha and remain superintendent of the Texarkana District.
