Work on McKnight Road has been rescheduled for this weekend.
The road will be closed this weekend and should reopen before 6 a.m. Monday, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
Workers will be replacing cross culverts. The work was originally scheduled for July 15 and 16 but was canceled because of weather concerns.
The roadway will be closed just east of Gin Road. Traffic will be allowed on either side of the roadwork, but will not be able to pass through. The official detour route will be on Richmond Road (Farm to Market Road 559) and Pleasant Grove Road (FM 2878), but local traffic may find alternate routes they find more convenient.
Scheduled work and road closures can change anytime due to weather conditions or unforeseen problems.
