Changes in the way items are added to the Texarkana, Ark., Board of Directors' meeting agenda will be up for consideration at a 6 p.m. meeting Monday at City Hall.

The proposed ordinance would change the way items are added to the agenda "to provide for more efficient agenda formulation and management," according to agenda documents.

Specifically, the proposed ordinance states all items should be filed with the city manager's office by 5 p.m. on the second Wednesday prior to the regular board meeting. If the item is not filed within seven business days before the regular meeting, it will not be included on the agenda, according to the proposed ordinance's language.

Further, copies of the filing should be provided to the city manager, city attorney and each city department head for comments.

Another new proposal would keep items already voted on by the city board from being brought before the board until 180 days after the original vote.

In other business, the second reading of an ordinance to increase some public works fees will be considered. For a comprehensive list of proposed fees go to bit.ly/2sCBRqb. The ordinance must be read three times before it is formally adopted.

Other agenda items include:

n a report from Public Works Director Jeff Whitten about Arkansas Department of Correction workers.

n changing the regular meeting date and time of 6 p.m. Monday, July 3, to noon Wednesday, July 5.
