VanDeaver to hold town hall meetings across region in July

State Rep. Gary VanDeaver, R-New Boston, will hold several town hall meetings in the second week of July throughout House District 1.

VanDeaver plans to share information and answer questions about the recently completed regular session of the 85th Texas Legislature, according to his campaign. Additionally, he will solicit feedback and discuss the 20 issues the governor has placed on the call for the special session that is to convene on July 18.

VanDeaver recently sent out a survey to his constituents about the special session items. Responses are due no later than July 1, to give his office time to analyze the feedback. Those who did not receive surveys and would like one may contact VanDeaver's office.

The schedule for town hall meetings is:

  • 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 10 at Clarksville City Hall, 800 W. Main St., Clarksville
  • 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 11 at Paris Junior College, Bobby R. Walters Workforce Training Center Room 1202, 2400 Clarksville St., Paris
  • 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 12 at Texarkana College, Truman Arnold Building's Patman Room, 2500 N. Robison Road
  • 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 13 at Mount Vernon High School lecture hall, 509 U.S. Highway 37 South, Mount Vernon.
