The annual Margaret Daniel Educational Foundation Dinner and Silent Auction recently raised $17,000 for grants to support "out of the box" innovative ideas for teachers in the Ashdown School District.
AHS Principal Kay York, who is also a foundation board member, said the foundation's supporters are varied and widespread. "They delight in giving their hard-earned monies to such programs, ideas that grown Ashdown students into great leaders of our community and state," she said in a press release.
The event featured live music by Chasing Rita, with dinner prepared by Chef Lois Corbell with special guest chefs Jack Madden and Chef Powell and served by AHS students.
