TexAmericas Center, in partnership with Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas, today announced the launch of a website aimed at promoting the Four States region.
Fourstatesregionalpartnership.com highlights the attractive qualities of the region. It was developed by World Economic Development Alliance through funding provided by the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment Grant that Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas received in 2016.
The website was developed as a direct result of the communications objective laid out in the grant. It not only allows users access to the reports published from the grant's activities, but it also acts as a community development tool. Features include:
- an interactive map center;
- a news module;
- access to information on major employers, higher education and local communities;
- and an events calendar.
TexAmericas Center and Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas encourage community members, area leaders and local city, county and municipal officials to reach out if there is important information the website should include.
Under Contact Us in the menu, users can submit citizen testimonials, news sources, events and other important regional information to be included on the website.
"One of the main goals for this OEA grant is to communicate the results of the regional studies to the community stakeholders, which includes: regional economic development organization alignment session, workforce needs and alignment and targeted industry analysis of the region. The fourstatesregionalpartnership.com site allows us to do this and to simultaneously market what makes our region attractive to potential businesses and future residents," said Scott Norton, CEO/executive director of TexAmericas Center.
