Police name suspect in Sunday's fatal shooting

Texarkana, Texas, police are looking for a 34-year-old Los Angeles man in connection with the Sunday evening shooting death of a 33-year-old man in the Texas-side Beverly neighborhood.

Texas-side police detectives have issued an arrest warrant for Los Angeles resident Hakim Gerald Webster, 34, after developing information that led to identifying him as the suspect in the shooting death of Ralph Morrison, 33, at a home at 405 Lumpkin Street, shortly after 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police arrived shortly after the shooting. There, officers found Morrison suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Morrison was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He died from his injury shortly thereafter.

Police determined Morrison was there visiting with the home's residents when a suspect pulled up in front of the house in a light blue mini-van. The suspect allegedly left the vehicle and started firing shots at the home, striking the victim once in the head. The suspect then fled the scene in the mini-van.

Police developed information indicating both the victim and the suspect had previously been involved in a dispute.

Webster is described as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was last seen driving a Chevrolet Uplander, Texas License Plate FST 4968.
