Main Street Texarkana and the Texarkana Gazette are sponsoring Letters to Santa for area youngsters. "Letters to Santa" gives children a chance to write to Santa and get a letter back.
Santa's Express Mail box can be found in the lobby of the Gazette and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Children may mail their letters to Santa through Dec. 22. Each letter must contain the address of the child mailing the letter so that a return letter may be sent.
Sample letters with needed information can also be found in the Texarkana Gazette lobby, located on the first floor of the Landmark Building, 101 E. Broad St., Texarkana, Ark..
Letters received after the deadline cannot be answered, since Santa will be busy helping his elves finish Christmas toy orders and readying the reindeer for Christmas Eve travel, Mrs. Claus said.
