Warrants pending for two additional suspects in Oct. 5 incident

A 16-year-old faces 34 counts of assault, battery and terroristic act in an Oct. 5 shooting on East 35th Street, according a police spokeswoman.

During the incident at the entrance of Quill Creek Apartments, two individuals were shot and an area resident was struck, according to Kristi Bennett, TAPD spokeswoman.

The juvenile was arrested on nine counts of terroristic act, 23 counts of aggravated assault and two counts of second-degree battery.

Initially, police said the investigation revealed an altercation resulted in several gunshots being fired when people in a group decided to leave the scene.

Additional warrants are pending for two juveniles, Bennett stated in a press release.
