Man arrested on drug, weapons charges

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on drug and weapon charges after a traffic stop Saturday.

Dennis Clark is being held in the Miller County Detention Center, said Miller County Chief Deputy Mike McQuerrey.

Miller County Sheriff"s Deputy John Beasley initiated a traffic stop on Dennis Clark for violations of Arkansas State traffic law.

During the traffic stop, probable cause to search the vehicle was established. The search of the vehicle yielded more than five ounces of methamphetamine, more than four grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and more than $13,000 in cash, according to officials.

Clark was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearm and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
