State Rep. Gary VanDeaver will run for a third term next year, his office has announced.
VanDeaver represents Texas House District 1, which includes Bowie, Franklin, Lamar and Red River counties. He serves on the House Appropriations Committee.
VanDeaver is a retired school superintendent who lives in New Boston with his wife of 34 years, Pam. They are members of First Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon. The VanDeavers have two grown daughters and one granddaughter.
All Texas House seats are up for election in November 2018.
