Uber service to launch Tuesday in Texarkana

The ride-sharing service Uber will launch its Northeast Texas expansion in a ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Texarkana College.

Uber officials and Texas Sen. Gary VanDeaver will officially kick off Uber's service for the Texarkana area at the Veterans Memorial at TC, 2500 N. Robison Road, Texarkana, Texas.

After the launch, VanDeaver will take the area's first Uber ride.
