DLA Distribution Red River will break ground on a new 240,000 square foot general purpose warehouse next week.
In an effort to maintain assured logistics, financial and process excellence, while also sustaining audit readiness, Red River's new general purpose warehouse will have 26-foot stacking height, weather-sealed truck doors and loading/unloading docks with dock levelers.
Additionally, it will offer 3,000 square feet of administrative area, locker rooms, employee lunch and break room and a utility annex. All administrative areas will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and anti-terrorism force protection standards.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place 9 a.m. Thursday at Red River Army Depot, DLA Distribution Red River, Building 499.
Keynote speaker for the ceremony will be Army Brig. Gen. John S. Laskodi, commanding general, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, New Cumberland, Penn.
