Group to perform Saturday at First United Methodist

First United Methodist Church in Texarkana, Ark., invites people to celebrate the love of Jesus and women in the Bible at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The group Hearts Touched by Jesus performs "Women of the Bible," a dramatic portrayal of women from Eve of Genesis to Priscilla in the book of Acts. The story unfolds as each character gives a personal account of her experiences as they relate to the promised Messiah.

Hearts Touched by Jesus members are from First Baptist of Nashville, Ark. They have presented this program to more than 20,000 women in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas churches. It began as a one-night program for their home church and became a 15-year ministry for women on a broader scope. As the hearts of women from other churches have been touched by seeing the drama, they asked that it be performed for the women of their churches.

First United Methodist is located at 400 E. 6th St. in Texarkana, Ark. The cost is $5 for the program or $10 for the program and a lunch in the Cabe Center after the program. For tickets or more information, call the church office at 870-772-6931.
