Texarkana, Texas, City Council will hold a special meeting Monday to discuss annexation of land adjacent to the city limits.
On Aug. 13, the council agreed to postpone voting on annexing the territory, known as Study Area 6, at the request of Ward 1 Council Member Jean Matlock. Matlock said she wanted to explore the possibility of annexing only a portion of the proposed area. The council agreed to hold a workshop meeting on the matter.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 220 Texas Blvd.
