TxDOT: $696K will be put into helping replace buses used for public transportation

Ark-Tex Council of Governments will receive $696,000 in federal funds for its rural transit agency to help replace buses used for public transportation, according to a Texas Department of Transportation press release.

Residents use the transit services to get to work school, school shopping and medical appointments.

The local Council of Governments is one of 35 public transportation providers in Texas to collectively receive about $20 million in federal funding to help replace buses.
