Driver injured after truck flips and goes offroad in I-30 wreck

A truck driver was injured Wednesday afternoon after his truck flipped on Interstate 30 westbound at the 189 mile marker.

The accident happened at 4:01 p.m., according to a report from the Bowie County Sheriff's Office. The truck flipped and went into the trees, according to the report.

BCSO and New Boston police and fire departments assisted the Texas Department of Public Safety in investigating the accident. The cause of the accident was not immediately available. The driver of the truck had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to a local hospital, according to the report. His condition was not immediately known.

No other injuries were reported.

The truck was leaking fluid after the accident but it was hydraulic fluid and nothing hazardous, officials said.

The scene of the accident was cleared about 4:45 p.m, according to the report.
