Four Texas High School Culinary Arts and Commercial Baking students are advancing to the SkillsUSA Texas State Leadership and Skills Competition after receiving Top Three placement during the district competition Friday and Saturday in Waco, Texas.
Texas High took all Top Three awards for Culinary Arts, with Shaderrika Sanders taking first place, Deavyon Ross at second place and Aniyah Azille in third. Moncey Martinez finished at third place in Commercial Baking. The students are coached by Cory House and Janna Carr.
SkillsUSA District 5 is made up of 28 counties in East Texas.
The SkillUSA Texas State Leadership & Skills State Competition will be April 5-8 in Corpus Christie.
