Texas-side man arrested on several drug charges

A Texarkana, Texas, man has been arrested on numerous drug charges after members of the Texas-Side Police Department Special Investigations Unit seized about $70,000 in illegal drugs from his home.

Ikee Wyrick, 25, was arrested about 11 a.m. Wednesday when a search warrant was served at his residence in the 1700 block of West Martin Luther King Jr.

Inside the residence, they discovered 19.5 pounds of marijuana, 31 grams of cocaine, 1,238 Xanax pills, and three tablets of MDMA (commonly known as Ecstasy). Officers also seized an undisclosed amount of cash found hidden throughout the house and a loaded pistol.

Wyrick was taken to the Bi-State jail, where was arrested on charges including possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of marijuana and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
