Area has slight chance of sleet, snow today

SHREVEPORT-An official with the National Weather Service in Shreveport said that while there may be a slight chance of Texarkana getting snow and sleet this morning neither is expected stick around.

Michael Berry, meteorologist with the weather service, said Thursday evening that neither snow or sleet is expected to accumulate even if it does fall.

Berry did say that clear skies, this morning, will make the predicted 24 degrees feel more like 14-especially with northwest winds gusting up to 25 mph. However, the wind chill value is expected to subside as the day goes on.
