A former Texarkana newscaster who is challenging Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson for the GOP nomination for governor will host a meet-and-greet at 6 p.m. Friday in Fouke, Ark.
The free event for Jan Morgan will be at the Stanley Davis Community Center.
Morgan, who owns the Gun Cave Indoor Firing Range in Hot Springs, Ark., announced plans on New Year's Eve to run for governor. She would become the state's first female governor.
Morgan worked in the Texarkana television market for a number of years beginning in the 1980s. In addition to covering news events for local network affiliates, she also appeared on Christian-based KLFI TV.
She is a Fox News/Fox Business Network analyst.
The center is about a block from U.S. Highway 71 and a block from the Fouke school campus.
