TC to offer self-defense seminar July 21

Texarkana College will hold a self-defense seminar on the jeet kune do fighting style on July 21.

The seminar, for ages 13 and older, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Pinkerton Center on campus, 2500 N. Robison Road, Texarkana, Texas.

Online pre-registration is required and is available at ce.texarkanacollege.edu. The cost is $50 per person.

Instructors for the seminar are Rodney Hitchcock and Jeremy Gordon, both certified second-generation jeet kune do instructors.

Hitchcock has a sixth-degree black belt in karate and 42 years of experience in martial arts.

He is head coach of a competitive mixed martial arts team. Gordon, who has 35 years of martial arts experience, is also an instructor for law enforcement.
