Hospice of Texarkana is preparing for Good Grief Day, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Richmond Road Baptist Church.
The day is for children ages 7 to 15 who have lost a loved one because of death, divorce, moving to a new school or a parent's incarceration or military service.
During the event, children and teens will participate in various activities designed to help them deal with their grief in a healthy way including pet therapy, creating a memory square, a balloon release and more.
