Second annual block party set for Saturday

Bridging the Gaps of Arkansas will hold its second annual Free Community Fun Day and Block Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fairview United Methodist Church and Zoe Church.

The party area will encompass a three-block section, starting a block or two east of North State Line Avenue and including the 200 to 300 blocks of East 14th Street, East 15th Street and East 16th Street. The area also includes Ash Street and Laurel streets.

The event's purpose is to bring a sense of community (or common-unity) to the Sandflat-Glendale Neighborhood area. Meals and refreshments include hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwich wraps, and chips.

The event will feature music, health screenings, bounce houses, relay races, sack races, water slides, motorcycles, digital games, video games, face painting and Bingo.
