Miller County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident of a person impersonating a deputy and making a traffic stop.
The suspect allegedly made a traffic stop Tuesday in a black Dodge Charger with red and blue lights in the front grill. This was not a sheriff's office or Texarkana police unit, officials said.

Motorists should be aware of their surroundings, and if they are being stopped, pull over in a well-lit area, if possible. Anyone with concerns about the legitimacy of a traffic stop can call the sheriff's office to verify whether it is an MCSO unit.
