Arkansas State Police Cpl. Kyle Peek, 38, of Hempstead County, was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
The 13-year veteran of the department will assume new duties as a post supervisor within Highway Patrol Division Troop G.
The Arkansas State Police Commission approved the recommendation of Col. Bill Bryant, state police director. The promotion occurred Thursday during a regular monthly commission meeting.
