The Bowie County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman found in a ditch on a rural road.
Investigators think Susan Marshall Wilson, 33, of New Boston, Texas, was struck by a vehicle, said Capt. Jeff Neal, chief deputy. She was found Wednesday afternoon in a ditch along the 6600 block of Farm to Market Road 992 (Daniels Chapel Road).
Neal said law enforcement received a call about the body at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday. A man on a tractor found the body, which has been sent for an autopsy.
Bowie County Fire Marshal Scott Taylor said Wilson and her husband, Jeffrey, were arrested April 30 at their home in New Boston on felony charges of insurance fraud. He said each was out of jail on a $20,000 bond.
