TAPD to hold luncheon, discuss child abuse June 19

Texarkana, Ark., Police Department's next Luncheon with the Law will cover juvenile awareness, according to a police spokeswoman.

The "Juvenile Awareness Part 1: Child Abuse - Fact or Fiction" course will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. June 19in TAPD's training room at the Bi-State Justice Building, 100 N. State Line Ave. Lunch will be provided.

The deadline to register is June 15.

"Join us in ... discussing disciplinary law, the physiological and physical signs of child abuse and what to do if you suspect a child being victimized," said Kristi Bennett, TAPD spokeswoman.
