Two Arkansas Community Correction escapees caught in Texarkana

Justin Jordan and Sammy Tinsley, escapees from Arkansas Community Correction, were caught about 10 p.m. Monday.

The two inmates escaped about 6:30 p.m. Monday from the Southwest Arkansas Community Correction Center in Texarkana, said Dina Tyler, ACC spokeswoman.

 

Jordan, 30, was convicted of possession of a controlled substance less than 2 grams.

Tinsley, 19, was convicted of breaking and entering and theft of property by credit card.

The two will likely now face additional charges.

Tyler said the two inmates had been assigned to kitchen duty and bolted and ran when their supervisor was taking them outside to take the trash out.

Arkansas State Police and local police in Texarkana assisted with the search.
