Incumbent wins Fouke mayor's race

Incumbent Fouke, Ark., Mayor Terry Purvis won re-election Tuesday by collecting 56 percent of the votes cast.

"This is pretty humbling to have four opponents and to win with 56 percent of the votes and without a runoff. I'm humbled," Purvis said.

The results in the Fouke mayor's race include:

Terry Purvis-131 votes

Lance Norman-60 votes

Phyllis Allison-29 votes

Charles Cooper-8 votes

Robert Neely-2

Fouke has 400 registered voters in the city limits.

The job as mayor pays $2,000 per month.
