Pre-trial date set for bank robbery suspect

A pre-trial date of Nov. 28 has been scheduled for Bobby Padillow, 26, who is accused of participating in the robbery of the Mineral Springs, Ark., Diamond Bank in 2016.

The bank was robbed July 25, 2016.

Padillow is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing Nov. 28 in Howard County Circuit Court
in Nashville, Ark., according to court records.

Padillow is one of three suspects arrested in connection with the robbery.

Jomari Bradford, 24, and Byron Coleman, 30, have changed their pleas to guilty and have been sentenced.

Bradford and Coleman pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and theft of property. They were sentenced to 360 months in prison and given 285 jail-time credits for the time they have been in jail waiting for a trial.

Both suspects were ordered to pay $9,888 in restitution to Diamond Bank.

Each suspect was also sentenced to pay court costs of $200, a $250 DNA sample fee, a $250 mandatory sex offender fee and a $20 booking fee.

The suspects allegedly entered the bank, got the money and exited the building within two minutes.

The crime was recorded by surveillance video, allegedly showing the suspects leaping over the counter and filling the bags with cash from the drawers.

The bank robbers reportedly left items at the Mineral Springs City Park after the robbery.

An employee found shirts, pants, hats, gloves, one pair of red tennis shoes, a silver hubcap and a red duffle bag.

As a deterrent for future bank robbers, the Diamond Bank now houses the Mineral Springs Police Department in its building.
