A Fouke, Ark., man accused of sexual misconduct with a juvenile female relative is being held in the Miller County jail with bail set at $100,000.

Larry Zane Neff, 49, is accused of showing the girl, whose age is not identified in court records, pornography and of engaging in sexual misconduct, according to a search warrant affidavit used to create the following account. Miller County Sheriff's Office received a report from an adult female relative of the girl Oct. 28.

The adult relative told investigators that the girl wrote her a note that complained of the alleged sexual abuse and pornography. The girl allegedly made an outcry of sexual abuse when formally interviewed the next day.

A search of Neff's residence on Miller County 493 was conducted Nov. 1. Neff allegedly left his home carrying a laptop computer and a cell phone before the search was executed.

Documents associated with the search warrant show that a sizable amount of computer equipment, flash drives and commputer disks were seized during the Nov. 1 search of Neff's home. Neff's wife allegedly delivered the laptop and cellphone to investigators which had been in Neff's possession when he left his house in advance of the Nov. 1 search.

Neff was arrested on charges of rape and second-degree sexual assault Nov. 2. At a hearing Nov. 5, Neff's bail was set at $100,000, and he is ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim should he post bond. Neff is scheduled to appear in court for a status hearing Nov. 20.

Rape is punishable by 10 to 40 years or life in prison.
