The "Backyard Basics Exposition" will offer ideas for cooking food and is scheduled for Oct. 11 at the Southwest Center in Texarkana, Texas.
"The goal of the 'Backyard Basics Exposition' serves as an incubator for ideas of how to turn a nonproductive backyard into one that returns your food and enjoyment for your labor," said Cherrie Curtis, cooperative extension agent.
Registration begins at the Backyard Basic and to serve as an incubator for your home and labor.

Keyhole gardening-learn about a way to add a vegetable garden within easy reach.

"There is no cost to attend," said Curtis.
