WASHINGTON, Ark.-The Hempstead County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church in Washington,
Ark.
Jan Whatley will present the evening program on the history of the DeAnn community and White
Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in the eastern section of
Hempstead County. Whatley is the dean of arts, humanities and education at the University of
Arkansas at Hope-Texarkana and a resident of the DeAnn area. Everyone is welcome to
attend.
