The U.S. Marine Corps League, Detachment 1149, will hold a public Sept. 11, 2001, memorial ceremony at 7:30 a.m. today inside the Texarkana Regional Airport's Passenger Terminal Lobby.

The league will honor the victims of the terrorist attacks in both New York, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C., with the posting of colors and the performance of taps following a moment of silence at 7:46 a.m. The moment of silence marks the time the first hijacked passenger jet struck the World Trade Center's north tower.

The league is a local veterans organization founded to perpetuate the traditions and spirit of all Marines.

Refreshments will be served at the ceremony.
