State park offers guided kayak tours

Cossatot River State Park will be offering guided kayak tours during the month of May.

Each tour will be from 9 a.m.to 4 p.m.

A park interpreter will be the guide on this trip down the Cossatot River.

Kayak adventure tours are designed for beginners, but all ability levels are welcome.

The park provides kayaks, paddles, helmets and life jackets. Transportation to and from the park visitor center is provided at no additional cost.

Cost of the kayak tours is $30.94 a person. Payment is required prior to trip. Reservations should be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 870-385-2201 to make reservations.

The tours will be offered May 4, May 10, May 11, May 17-19, May 24- 27 (Memorial Day) and May 31.

Inclement weather or river conditions may cause the park to cancel a tour.
