TEXARKANA - Eternal Beauty opened its doors to the public Tuesday, bringing its brand of "medical aesthetics" to Texarkana.

"We aren't just any spa," owner and operator Elizabeth Jacobsen said. "Many things we do here have health and medical applications as well as beauty."

Looking around the tastefully decorated facility, a visitor gets a sense of comfort and style from the decor and furnishings. But even though the interior is welcoming, the facility offers a range of services that require skill and application by trained professionals.

"We are a medical spa, featuring injections, hormone replacement therapy, medically assisted weight loss, IV vitamin infusion, laser work and more," Jacobsen said. "We are not just a beauty spa, we
are licensed practitioners trained in a variety of procedures and techniques intended to promote and enhance beauty
and wellness."

Jacobsen comes from an extensive medical background, with 12 years in nursing, all in Texarkana. Also, she calls Texarkana home, having lived here since 2008.

"I was an ER nurse, with a conventional nursing career, and I reached a point where it was time for a change of course. I've dreamed of owning my own business, and medical aesthetics is my passion," she said. "Fulfilling a dream, you have to work incredibly hard at something, and to see it actually happen, it is gratifying. I'm immensely grateful to my family, my team and this opportunity."
