Texarkana men arrested after traffic stop in Nacogdoches

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Two Texarkana residents have been arrested in Nacogdoches on narcotics charges.

Anthony Krebs, 40, was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, according to information from the Nacogdoches Police Department.

Robert Coe, 62, was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Both suspects are being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail.

An officer with the Nacogdoches Police Department K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 4500 block of North Stallings Drive.

Krebs, the passenger in the vehicle, allegedly ran from the traffic stop across North Stallings Drive, allegedly attempting to flee from the officer who did not have backup at the time, according to the NPD. As the officer was chasing the suspect, two local citizens saw what was occurring and came to the officer's aid. The good Samaritans, who were identified as Garrett Galloway and Jamie Rawley, jumped out of their vehicle and assisted the officer in placing the suspect into custody. Coe was also taken into custody.

Officers recovered a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and LSD.
