New CHRISTUS family clinic breaks ground at Hope site

Ground was broken on the new CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Family Medicine-Hope Tuesday morning in Hope, Ark. The clinic will be located at the intersection of Peck Circle and Julia Street and will have 12 exam rooms, one procedure room, digital X-ray facilities and full lab services onsite.

It's expected the clinic will open in September.

"There was a clinic here, but we needed to expand in order to meet demand for the number of patients and providers we have there," said William Knous, public relations representative for CHRISTUS in Northeast Texas/Louisiana.

"It's going to house two physicians, a nurse practitioner along with their staffs," he said.

Dr. Brent Bennett, Dr. Allyson Hanson and Devin Shepard, nurse practitioner, will see patients at the clinic.

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic is a multispecialty group with more than 600 physicians and advanced practice providers representing 36 specialties in 34 locations.

"We're excited to be able to expand over the previous size and excited to be in that community growing and meeting the needs of primary care, which is not only important in Hope but in the region," Knouse said.
