Mount Pleasant PD seeks assistance in finding armed robbery suspect

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas-The Mount Pleasant Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

The suspect entered the Dollar General store on North Jefferson Avenue in Mount Pleasant about 11 p.m. Dec. 28, according to information from the MPPD. After showing the employees his firearm, he took them around the location, making his way to the store's safe. He filled a store bag with money and left on foot.

The suspect is described as about 5'foot 5 inches to 5 foot 6 inches in height. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans with a design on back pockets and was wearing black and red
shoes.

Northeast Texas Area Crime Stoppers have set a guaranteed reward of $1,500 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect in this case. Callers do not have to give their name. To leave a tip, call 903-577-8477.
