LifeShare Blood Center needs blood donors. The center has reached a critically low level of blood.
"We're in need of all blood types," said Kimberly Moore, donor recruiter secretary. "We have less than a one-day supply available on our shelves." That means the blood products might not be on hospital shelves to save lives if donors don't step up.
"We're just really in need. If something happens or we have a major accident, we won't have the blood to supply to the patient," Moore said. "Donating blood helps the community."
LifeShare Blood Center has moved its donation center to 4020 Summerhill Road, Texarkana, Texas. It's open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
