The Emerald Quartet will perform at 6:30 p.m. Monday for the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra's Chamber Music Concert Series.
Held at the Tri-State Metal and Ironworks Atrium on the third floor of the University Center at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, the concert includes TSO's assistant concertmaster, Diana Norwood; principal viola, Borys Smolaga; and principal cello, Brett Andrews. Pianist Dean Pieskee will join the quartet. They'll perform selections that include Alexander Borodin's "String Quartet No. 2 in D Major" and Cesar Franck's "Piano Quintet in F Minor."
This is the TSO's second annual chamber concert series. Admission is free. Advance reserved seating is available through the TSO office (or the night of the concert) for $20 per concert or $80 for the full season. The final series concert will be held April 29.
